Adjunct Professor

PHD in Social Sciences (Unicamp, 2008), Postdoctorate from the Center of Studies of the Metropole (CEM/CEBRAO/2009). Professor in the Department of Sociology at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), researcher from the Center of Studies of the Metropole (CEM) and the Group of Urban Ethnographies of the Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). He earned a PHD from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with doctoral internship at School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS). Nowadays, he researches the social and political dynamics of urban peripheries, focused on marginalized groups and the world of crime in São Paulo. Coordinator of NaMargem – Group of Urban Researches – and of the project The margins of the city, which takes part in the CEPID/CEM – FAPESP.
